Pastor

Pastor David Rupe previously served as the Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church of Rosemount, Minnesota for thirteen years. He was also involved in the church’s jail ministry, nursing home ministry, bus ministry, as well as leading the church’s Master Club. He became the senior pastor of Island City Baptist Church on May 31, 2009.

Growing up, Pastor Rupe knew what he had to do to go to heaven, but he never had made that decision for himself until on November 4, 1990, he prayed and received Christ as his personal Saviour. After serving time in the military, Pastor Rupe enrolled in Oklahoma Baptist Bible College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pastoral Theology. Upon graduation from college, he moved here to Minnesota to begin his ministry as youth pastor.
Pastor Rupe is married to his high school sweetheart, Tina. They have three sons – Dustin, Hayden, and Nathan. His hobbies include fishing, golfing, and shooting.
